Do you think a text message apology is acceptable?

I do not think you are being petty in anyway. What she did was totally unacceptable. She needs to humble herself and apologize to you in person. Apologizing over text is not acceptable. Period. She owes you that much. After that, if you feel her apologize was sincere, than you can put it to rest.
