I noticed the electricity bill increasing when landlord's son moved into storage stall nex to biz shop rental
I rented a converted 3 stall storage facility (verbal) no lease or paper-- for our small business shop location. Electricity bill was at highest all seasons approx. $59/mo. Landlord ped away, his son took residence in one of the adjoining stalls. Electric bill skyrocketed- from avg. low of $29 and highest of $59/mo. to avg. low of $65 and highest at $130/mo. I found out my breaker box was supplying electricity to 4 of 6 adjoined storage stalls (14'X50') My 3 stalls were already converted from straight storage to office and workspace. Where the landlord's son took up residence was still 1 stall 14'X50', 1 lightswitch to which he attached an outlet that was powering a network of extens. chords powering 2 sec cams,monitor,46" TV, 21"TV w DVD, 1 Audio center w/surround & misc. components,fridg,m-wav etc. When I mentioned it to him he said he'd pitch in but 0. Cost me over 2yr time increase of $1200. Asked again-REFUSAL I moved. Are we deserved of legal recourse/compensation ? ADVISE
