When Americans Christians complain about "persecution", do they have any idea what gay men have to go through?

First of all, I'm straight. But in many parts of the US, two gay men can't even HOLD HANDS in public without fear of hatred, and yet many American Christians speak out about themselves being "persecuted" here. The country is 80% Christian. Get over yourselves.
